Power Engineering Training Systems/PanGlobal Training Systems Ltd.

Power Engineering Training Systems is a division of PanGlobal Training Systems Ltd. which was formed in 2003 through a unique partnership formed between:

• Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT)
• Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT)
• British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)

These partners have been producing Power Engineering training materials since 1917. With over 80 years experience in the field, we are the industry standard.

With the cooperation of three institutions, our training materials are high-quality and current with the latest standards. Power Engineering Training Systems maintains close relationships with government and industry representatives to ensure materials are relevant, up to date, and continue to improve.

Power Engineering Training Systems material provides the knowledge and understanding needed to write the national exams for Power Engineering. As well, completing the courses through an approved institution may reduce the industry hours required for certification by up to 50%.

Power Engineering Training Systems courses are approved in Canada by the Interprovincial Power Engineering Curriculum Committee (IPECC), the Standardization of Power Engineers' Examination Committee (SOPEEC), and the Association of Chief Inspectors (ACI).

Curriculum Sponsorship

The renewal of the Power Engineering curricula is a time consuming and expensive process that has been supported though significant funding provided by the TransAlta Corporation. This funding has allowed for a renewed Third Class, Second Class and First Class curriculum from materials that were over 20 years old. PanGlobal and all PowerEngineers in Canada wish to gratefully acknowledge this funding in support of this and future generations of Power Engineers.
