National Certification Process

Certification of Power Engineers in Canada exists countrywide under the auspices of the Association of Chief Inspectors (ACI) who maintain common training Syllabi for the several levels of certification. Certification examinations are administered by SOPEEC (Standardization of Power Engineering Examinations Committee), a sub-committee of ACI. Exams are administered from a common examination question bank, which is maintained by the SOPEEC Coordinator.
